“On Your Feet” Logic Guessing Game (K-2)

Here is a logical thinking game to get your little scholars up and moving!

This game is like LOGIC LINKS, with clues that lead to positioning colors in the correct order. However, in this game, students hold colored paper or cards and line themselves up in the correct order. The colors used in this game are red, blue, green, and orange.

Clues are revealed one at a time. Students guess the correct order by lining up with their cards. As each clue is revealed, students reposition themselves if necessary, guessing and checking as they go.

You can play this game in several ways.

  • Call four students to the front and give each student a color to hold up. As each clue is revealed, the four students face the class and line up with their colored cards. Have the class do “thumbs-up” or “thumbs-down” to show whether the line-up looks good to them based on the clue(s) showing.
  • Students can play at their desks if they have smaller colored cards or squares.
  • Students could play in groups of four around the classroom.
  • For Valentine’s Day, you could provide die-cut colored hearts to play the game. (For the “on your feet” version, cut larger hearts or just draw a large heart on each colored paper.)

You will need:

  • Colored construction paper or cardstock (red, blue, green, orange)
  • this slide deck

If you’d like to change the colors or add your own clues, you can make your own copy. You might also challenge your older students to help you create additional clues to add to these.

ENJOY!
