On the Hunt for Amazing Beach Wildlife ~ Another Virtual Scavenger Hunt

Here is another virtual scavenger hunt, but this one is a bit different from previous ones I’ve shared on this site. With just ONE CLICK, your students will be off on their journey!

The scavenger hunt experience is much the same- students “travel” from place to place around the world, via Google Earth, hunting for places and information. Videos and photographs enhance the experience, and students will pick up historical, geographical, and scientific trivia along the way!

The fact that this is a one-click presentation is nice! The only disadvantage is that the videos could not be clipped. None of the videos I chose are more than 90 seconds, but I’d like to be able to create video clips. It was difficult to find shorter videos with the content I desired. That being said, I think it’s still a fun and educational trip around the globe!

HERE is all you need:

INSTRUCTIONS and STUDENT PAGES

The answer key has been shared with subscribers; if you’d rather not subscribe, send me a message and I’ll be happy to share it with you.

I hope your students are inspired to create their own! Let me know if they do! They may think of many other types of Google Earth projects to create, too, and I’m working on a few ideas myself.

ENJOY!
